African Women Voices

Where were we?

(IN)VISIBLE CITIES is all about making connections, creating relationships and this week that’s what we did.

From the 14 of the month we put our selves and interest in Portugal, specifically in Santa Cruz where we met a group of 20 representatives of the African diaspora in Europe. The idea was to work together for the promotion of the International Day of the African Diaspora taking place on October 3rd and including celebrations, interviews, events to promote a different image of the African Diaspora. The group was made of some extraordinary people having outstanding projects, such as Talk of Juba, the first and only entertainment online magazine for the newly crested South Sudan co funded by Sieta. Jennifer, originally from Ghana writes short stories on the experience of migrants coming to Europe, a series of these stories will soon be available on the blog BALOBESHAYI.
The results if this training/meeting will soon be available, in the meantime that’s a photo we used to explain what (IN)VISIBLE CITIES is.
