You think you know the period when slavery was abolished, truth is you can’t be certain.
Slavery was officially abolished in the United States on January 31, 1865. That’s a huge victory for civil rights, intended as they are: rights of citizens.
Congress passed the Thirteenth Amendment which, on ratification, abolished slavery in America. The vote in the House was 121 to 24.
But was slavery really abolished? May in the US yes, but what might come as a shock to you is that slavery is in fact still operating in the world. Is not only damaging people of African origins.

When I spent time in Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq and UAE slavery was an everyday thing. An expect benefit of the Arab/Muslim mind-set. Some business partners (Arab) had slaves (Muslim) from Bangladesh (Driver), Philippines (housekeeper), Indonesia (day maid) and CAR, (night maid). Their cost to purchase their slaves at the Oman slave market? for all three, $45,000 USD.
