I wouldn’t necessarily agree if it wasn’t I took part to the European Development Days in 2012, which is an event organised by the European Commission to evaluate the state of development around the world. The common traits of all the meetings I went to were African women and their reliability with funds and enterprises; apparently big organisations prefer to land money to women rather than men. This might explain why women can create more businesses but that definitely not the only explanation. Here is the piece Ms Gates was referring to.
