African Women Entrepreneurs in Africa

So based on what Melinda Gates twitted, Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rate of women entrepreneurs of the world. It does sound like a huge statement, one of those politicians made to have some more visibility or approval.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree if it wasn’t I took part to the European Development Days in 2012, which is an event organised by the European Commission to evaluate the state of development around the world. The common traits of all the meetings I went to were African women and their reliability with funds and enterprises; apparently big organisations prefer to land money to women rather than men. This might explain why women can create more businesses but that definitely not the only explanation. Here is the piece Ms Gates was referring to.
