Day Sixteen: If You Could Send a Message

December 10, I have to give a farewell to the 16-Day of Activism Campaign to end gender-based violence. It was challenging to keep it up everyday and the few empty dates don’t absolutely mean women who are (or were) victims of a violence were out of my mind. The hope is that sharing other women’s stories and initiatives from around the world was helpful. Though, one thing I was not able to explore during these days but yet consider pivotal, is to remember that women and children are not the only victims of violence. Men as well are counted in.

December 10, the date purposely coincides with the Human Rights Day. Among the initiatives, one that I really liked was launched by the Global Fund For Women.

In their Facebook page they asked: “If you could say one thing to women human rights defenders, what would it be?” This is what women have answered.
