Are African Women Beauties With No Brain?
What does come out if you Google “African women“? Have you ever tried? I did. And the first result is “30 most beautiful African women“.
Beauty is a undobut objective quality, however, is this the first think people think of African women? We should open another bracket here and specify that the fact that this result is on the Google pole position does not actually mean that’s what people think. However, recently I spoke to an African singer living and working in Europe who said to be overwhelmingly exhausted by people’s comments and dirty propositions, the latest being: “I had no idea you were actually clever, it doesn’t look like you are”.
We could indeed argue that women are generally speaking perceived as being less clever than men (which, mind my word, is a typical case of reverse psychological behavior: you tell someone they are something you actually think you are). Given, this is an inaccurate, pointless and misogynist thought, here are some African women who are kicking asses around the world. I dare anyone to call them beauties with no brain!
Isabel Dos Santos, Angolan. Investor.
